FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - More than 2,100 Fort Wayne I & M customers spent Thursday evening in the dark after a semi took down a power pole.
According to Fort Wayne police, a semi went off the road and knocked over a power pole near the intersection of St. Joe Center Road and Maplecrest Road just after 7:30 p.m.
Crews were forced to shut down part of St. Joe Center Road while they removed the semi and repaired the pole.
Indiana Michigan Power crews were working late Thursday night to get power restored to the area. At last word, power had been restored to all but 148 customers.
