Palin coming back to Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - If you wanted to meet Sarah Palin Thursday and missed out, it looks like you'll eventually have another chance.

Allen County Republican Chairman Steve Shine says Palin promised him Thursday that she will make a return visit to Allen County.

Shine had a 5 minute private meeting with Palin before Thursday's book signing in Fort Wayne.

"She promised that she would be back in Allen County for an Allen County Republican fundraiser; whether that was the [yearly] Bean Dinner or the Lincoln Day Dinner, she would be back," Shine told NewsChannel 15.

In fact, when Palin left her meeting with Shine to sign her fans' books, one of her assistants started preliminary talks with Shine on setting up that return visit.

Though there's no exact timeline for the visit yet, the fact that preliminary details are already being discussed and the fact that Shine might not be chairman after 2012 would seem to indicate it will come in the not-too-distant future.
