FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Fort Wayne police are investigating an early morning armed robbery at the BP station at the corner of Coliseum Boulevard and North Clinton Street.
Police were called around 4:45 a.m. Friday.
Officers said two males went into the store and one had a handgun.
The male clerk was hit on the head. Police at the scene said his injuries were not serious.
The two males took the register drawer that had cash inside. Then they took off on foot.
Officers began searching for the suspects with a K-9 along N. Clinton Street, but lost the track. Police did not provide any suspect descriptions as investigators were still gathering information from the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
