FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - A Fort Wayne man is getting a lot of attention for a Nazi flag he is flying in his front yard.

The homeowner said he is flying the flag, not for its anti-semitic symbolism, but for his grandmother's birthday a few days ago.

He said his grandmother has deep German roots, including other members of his family. His grandmother, nor any family he knows from Germany, are anti-semitic. He noted his grandmother was born in the late 1800's.

The homeowner also said he is not flying the flag to garner any attention or to spread hate.
