FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Allen County Police are investigating a fatal car crash that happened just before 2 a.m. Tuesday at 17528 Bluffton Road between Yoder and South County Line Roads.

Joshua Kenneth Williams, 18, of Hoagland died at the scene.  Investigators said that Williams was going northbound on Bluffton Road when his vehicle went off the roadway on the right.  He travelled back onto the roadway, crossed the center line, went off the roadway on the left, and hit a utility box and a tree.

Officials think speed was a factor but preliminarily, they don't believe alcohol was a factor.  The incident remains under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff's Department and the Allen County Coroner's Office.

Williams is the 23 traffic fatality in Fort Wayne and Allen County this year.
