City of Celina under level two snow emergency

Celina, OH (WANE) - The City of Celina remains under a Level 2 Snow Emergency declared by Mayor Jeff Hazel.  While most snowfall has stopped, the wind continues to make blowing and drifting snow a problem.  Roadways within Celina have all been plowed, but most are still snow-covered, slick and hazardous.  Motorists should avoid traveling if at all possible.  A very limited number of businesses remain open within Celina, so you should contact any business you may want to visit by phone to make sure they are open, before venturing out.

Residents that use curb-side parking are reminded that there is a 48 hour parking limitation on any vehicle parked on a city street.  If street crews plow your vehicle in while it is parked on a city street, you are responsible to get it moved within 48 hours, or you could be issued a citation.  The best response to having a snowplow go past and plow your vehicle in is to move it and park it in an area that has already been plowed

Mercer County remains under a Level 3 Snow Emergency issued by Sheriff Jeff Grey at 2:00 PM Wednesday.  Travel restrictions in the rural areas of the county are much more stringent.
