FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - As midterm election politics kick into gear, a new political website has hit cyberspace.  Onpolitix.com is an interactive website focused on not only the candidates, but the seats in which they're running and issues they're running on.

When people head to the poles in November, political analysts are predicting a lot could change in Washington.

“A couple of them who have good models are predicting right now it looks like the Republicans could take the House and possible the Senate as well,” said IPFW political analyst Andy Downs. “Democrats have such a large control in both chambers. That would mean a massive shift and a large number of seats lost.”

Downs said that’s why sites like Onpolitix.com are so important. The latest news on local, state, and national elections is updated every day. Onpolitix.com is important not just for the political enthusiast, but for voters looking to get educated on the issues and candidates, especially after several long-time Indiana incumbents have dropped out.

“It’s really good where we can find easily available information that comes from reliable sources like a news source,” said Downs. “The real trick is figuring out which candidates you want to support and why you want to support them.”
