WABASH, Ind., (WANE) -- - 28-year-old Jared Tolley and 45-year-old Artie Light have been arrested for two robberies that police believe are part of a string of armed robberies in Wabash.

Officers say the men held up a local hotel and gas station with a pellet gun, and may be linked to another armed robbery that happened Thursday.

The Village Market store was robbed at gunpoint around 10:30 Thursday night. The very next day, Wabash police had another robbery investigation on their hands.

Shortly after 10 o'clock, a robber entered the Citgo station on Cass Street.

"Person that came in, white male...opened the door and showed a gun and demanded the money," recalled Citgo employee Linzey John.

John says the robber made that demand with a gun, before flying out the door and around the back of the store.

Two hours later, it appears the same robber struck again. Just after midnight, the Holiday Inn Express was also held up.

It was after that robbery that police were able to catch up with some suspects. The descriptions from Citgo and hotel workers led police to stop the two men on the road.

Wabash Police Detective Ryan Short says,"The description given of the subject that did the robbery, the description's almost identical as far as what he was wearing, what he looked like, height and description."

Police arrested 28-year-old Jared Tolley and 45-year-old Artie Light. Both are from Wabash.

Police say they used a pellet gun during the robberies that seemed very real. They got away with an undisclosed amount of cash; some that has been recovered.

Both men are being held in the Wabash County. They're facing robbery charges.

An investigation into the string of armed robberies continues.
