Police say a woman was left unresponsive near her driveway just off State Road 14 in Wabash County.

Police say the woman was with 48-year old Richard Green before she was abandoned. Officers say Green drove off in the woman's car.

Wabash County Sheriff's Deputy Rick Monce says the woman was on a ventilator at a local hospital and was in stable condition.

WABASH COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - A 41-year-old woman is hospitalized after being dropped off on a roadway in Wabash County. Sheriff Leroy Striker says health officials believe she'll be off a ventilator by Friday.

Just after 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, police were called to 11 N. Lakeshore Dr. near Disko where they say 48-year-old Richard Green left the unresponsive woman.  Police say Green then left the scene in the woman's maroon Ford Taurus.

Green was later found at his Liberty Mills home.  He was taken to the Wabash Co. Jail and preliminarily charged with driving while intoxicated.  Police say more charges are pending.

The woman is in a Kosciusko Co. hospital.  She was admitted in the Intensive Care Unite, where officials say she is stable condition.
