FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - About a dozen protestors gathered at the Cathedral Wednesday afternoon to demonstrate against President Obama's commencement speech at Notre Dame.
The group, Operation Rescue, delivered a letter to Bishop John D'Arcy.
It requested D'Arcy hold a reparations mass and hold an alternate commencement.
It also asked for D'Arcy to take away Notre Dame's status as a Catholic university.
Obama's planned visit is causing controversy in the Catholic community because of his stances on abortion and stem cell research.
