Neighbor spots fire in Fort Wayne house

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - A neighbor spotted smoke coming from the home at 2046 Thompson Ave. around 2:45 p.m. Saturday.

Fort Wayne fire crews were on scene two minutes later and had the fire under control in seven minutes.

Crews contained the fire to the dining room on the first floor. There was minor damage to that room and minor smoke damage to the rest of the house. No one was home at the time.

No one was hurt. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
