FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Thousand of TinCaps fans swarmed the new home of the TinCaps to get a behind the scenes look at the stadium.

"I like the aesthetics of it," said Dawn Harshbarger. "I think they did a great job."

"It's a beautiful place," added Mike Schnepp.

Fans went on special tours and gained access to areas they wouldn't normally get to see.

"Up into the suite level, inside one of the suites, into the lounge, and then down into the TinCaps locker room as well," said Mike Limmer with the minor league baseball team.

Lyla Moody brought her family out and had plenty to say about the new stadium. "I think it's amazing. It's awesome. It's beautiful. We like that they have a kids area. And we really like that they have some sections with tables and stuff where you can kind of feel like you're having a picnic while you're watching the game."

After the tours fans rushed in to get their hands on merchandise. Seat cushions, baseball caps... all the gear they'll need on opening day, Thursday, April 16th.
