FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Fort Wayne Police are asking for your help to solve a string of Oxycontin robberies.

Police believe the same suspect has hit eight stores in Northeast Indiana between September and June.  They say he presents a note threatening that he has a gun, and takes off with Oxycontin or other strong depressant drugs.

Detectives say he blends in with other customers, but they hope someone will step forward with information.  Police describe the suspect as a white man with reddish to light-brown hair.  He's between 5'8" and 5'11" with a stocky build, and he's worn a hat in six of the eight crimes.

If you have any information on this crime, call Crimestoppers at 436-STOP, or Fort Wayne police at 427-1201.
