FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The next Winter Blast is now moving through the area.
Forecasters are calling for 5-to-7 inches of snow for most of Fort Wayne. To the north and west smaller amounts are predicted. Areas south and west of Allen County could see 6 inches or more.
Parts of central Indiana and south have received 8 inches, prompting several counties to declare travel advisories .
Blizzard like conditions are expected throughout the NewsChannel 15 viewing area with wind gusts reaching 30 miles-per-hour. Most of the area is under some type of Winter Weather Alert .
Dangerous travel conditions are expected with white-out conditions in many areas. Motorists are advised to stay off the roads or keep travel to a bare minimum.
Drivers should slow down, keep windshields clear, and use extra caution if driving Wednesday.
