INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WANE) - Robert Gearhart, a lifelong Huntington resident, presented his Mega Millions lottery ticket worth $250,000 to officials at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters in Indianapolis Wednesday afternoon.
Gearhart works in HVAC sales in Fort Wayne. He was dropping his son off at school on Tuesday and decided to swing by the Lassus Handy Dandy on his way to work to buy a lottery ticket.
"It's pretty exciting. I always thought I'd win something sometime," said Gearhart. "I've just been waiting for the day. It finally happened."
Gearhart said he plans to save his winnings and put it in the bank.
