FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Wing Fest was back at Piere's Sunday to raise money for the Allen County SPCA .

Around 800 people came to try out wings from area restaurants and even some people who just like to make wings! There was also a dunk tank.

The event raised more than $1,000 for the Allen County SPCA.

"It's really nice, especially being a non-for-profit. We don't get any money from the city. We rely solely on donations and our friends in the community," Mick Stewart, the Allen County SPCA Board of Directors president, said.

The overall winner of the wing contest doesn't have a restaurant, but has been perfecting his sauce on his own since he was a teenager.
