LaOTTO, Ind. (WANE) - A northeast Indiana winery had a summer harvest celebration Saturday.
Country Heritage Winery and Vineyard is off of County Road 68 in LaOtto. Along with wine, the business also sells sweet corn, melons and blueberries. Those are picked and sold every day.
The owners said the drought hasn't really affected them, but the heat has.
"All of our stuff is irrigated. It's planted on pretty good dirt. We've been irrigating it a lot. The heat's making it ripen a little faster than what we want," Jeremy Lutter, the owner of Country Heritage Winery, said.
There was a taste testing event tonight at the winery.
