BLUFFTON, Ind. (WANE) - Wells County has become the latest county in northeast Indiana to test positive for the West Nile virus.
According to the Wells County Health Department, a pool of mosquitoes tested positive near Forest Glen Court in Bluffton.
There have been no confirmed cases of the virus in humans or birds, the department’s release stated.
Crews have sprayed the area identified in Bluffton for mosquitoes. Larvaecide was also deposited in the standing pools of water suspected to be breeding sites.
