Wartell finalist for Northern Iowa job

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)  IPFW Chancellor Emeritus Dr. Michael Wartell is a finalist to become the president of University of Northern Iowa.

The candidates for the position will visit campus during the last week of January and first week of February.

William N. Ruud, president, Shippensburg University, will be on campus Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 28 and 29. The public forum will be from 3 to 4:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 28, in Maucker Union's Old Central Ballroom.

Avijit Ghosh, senior advisor to the president of the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, will interview Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 30 and 31. The public forum for candidate two will be from 2 to 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 30 in the Commons, Slife Ballroom.

Michael A. Wartell, Chancellor Emeritus and Professor of Chemistry at  Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) will visit campus Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 4 and 5. The information about the public forum will be released when the itinerary is finalized.
