WARSAW, Ind. (WANE) - Two men are behind bars and accused of breaking into a home on the west side of Warsaw Wednesday morning.
Acting on an anonymous tip, the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department said deputies and detectives responded to a home on Hartzler Drive Wednesday at approximately 11:30 a.m. after receiving information of a possible burglary in progress.
Just as officers arrived, they were advised that the suspect vehicle had left the immediate area and might be headed eastbound.
Detectives found the suspect vehicle at the intersection of Center Street and Detroit Street, where Kosciusko County deputies and Warsaw police officers took two men into custody without incident.
The men taken into custody were Brandon Charles Carpenter, 25, and Jason Wayne Rohrer, 29, both from Warsaw. Both were arrested and preliminarily charged with felony burglary of a residence.
Carpenter is also charged with felony possession of a controlled substance. For now, both suspects are behind bars without bond.
