FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Indiana's chapter of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation celebrated the end of a ten-month campaign Saturday at Indian Trails Park.
Take Steps is a nationwide campaign devoted to finding cures for Crohn's and Colitis. 30,000 Hoosiers suffer from these diseases and there is currently no cure.
More than $20,000 was raised in the Take Steps campaign.
"To see a community come together and do this much to support one another, it's heart warming," Joe Bender, with the Indiana chapter of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, said.
NewsChannel 15's Greg Shoup was at the emcee at the walk.
