FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The 25th Annual Walk for Animals was held on Sunday, October 14 at 1 p.m. at the Franke Park Pavilion 1 on Sherman Rd.

In 2011, the event raised $30,000 for Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control's humane education program. The program helps abused, neglected, and abandoned animals.

This year, the 2012 Walk for Animals raised $30,500.

WANE-TV is a proud sponsor of this event and NewsChannel 15's Drew Blair will help kick-off the walk and co-host the prize give-a-ways.
