FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - A former commander of a VFW post in Huntington was named the Indiana VFW's new state commander.
Rodney Funk of Roanoke was a past commander of the VFW Post 2689 in Huntington. That post has never had someone go on to be state commander before. They said it's a tremendous honor.
Funk will hold the title of state commander for one year. He'll now travel all over the state to the different VFW posts and help them achieve their goals for the year.
