FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - City offices are closed on Thursday, November 11 because of Veterans Day, but golf courses are open and vets can play for free.
In observance of the holiday, Fort Wayne offices, including City Utilities , Animal Care & Control , Community Center and the Weisser, Cooper and Jennings youth centers, will be closed. There will be no leaf pick-up that day.
The city’s garbage and recycling pick-up will be unaffected.
The Botanical Conservatory and city golf courses will be open regular hours Thursday.
Veterans can play golf free of charge by showing a veteran's ID at city courses .
