SUV ends up in Hicksville Police Dept. lobby

HICKSVILLE, Ohio (WANE) - A sport utility vehicle crashed into the Hicksville, Ohio Police Department headquarters Tuesday night.

Around 8:30 p.m., an SUV traveling south on High Street went off the roadway and crashed into the building. The SUV went through the wall and ended partially in the building's lobby.

The driver of the SUV was taken to Community Memorial Hospital in Hicksville with minor injuries. Hicksville police said he was complaining of injuries to his hand/wrist and shoulder.

Two people were inside the building at the time of the accident. They were not hurt.

Ohio State Troopers are handling the investigation.

Hicksville Police Chief Laura Szabo confirmed to NewsChannel 15 the life flight in the area around the same time was not to transport the driver of this accident.
