ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - Two people died after their vehicles collided early Wednesday morning.

It happened on Homestead Road just before 7:00.  According to a witness, a man driving a green Honda Accord north on Homestead Road crossed the center line hitting a silver Honda Accord that was traveling south.  The two cars hit head-on.

Marjorie S. Abramowski, 72, of Fort Wayne, was pronounced dead at the scene. She was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Stephen E. Creel, 47, of Stilesville, in central Indiana, was also pronounced dead at the scene.

Creel was not wearing a seatbelt. There was no one else in either car.

Homestead Road was closed for a couple hours but is now back open.

Abramowski and Creel are the 22nd and 23rd traffic fatalities for Fort Wayne and Allen County.

The incident remains under investigation by the Allen County Police Department and the Allen County Coroner's Office.
