FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Opening Day and individual game tickets for Fort Wayne's TinCaps baseball team went on sale Saturday.

Michael Limmer, Vice President of Marketing for the TinCaps, said there was a line of people waiting to buy tickets Saturday morning. TinCaps fans who purchased tickets from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. were treated to a complimentary breakfast in the ballpark's suite level lounge.

"People are anxious for the cold weather to be done and for baseball season to be upon us," Limmer said.

According to Limmer, TinCaps fans are also excited for several new additions to Parkview Field , including the completion of The Harrison apartment complex, which faces Parkview Field and the new 400 Club. The room is exactly 400-feet from home plate. The 400 Club will accommodate 20 to 150 people and can be used by groups or individuals. The 400 Club project is expected to be completed in mid-May.

During the 2013 season, Parkview Field will host 70 home games.

If you couldn't make it to Parkview Field Saturday, you can still buy tickets by calling (260) 482-6400 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or by visiting the TinCap's website.

This year, Opening Day will be on Thursday, April 11. The TinCaps take on the Lake County Captains at
7:05 p.m. The game will feature fireworks and one dollar beer specials for "Thirsty Thursday."

Officials at Parkview Field say Opening Day tickets have sold out every year for the past four years. Last year, 8,577 people attended Opening Day, marking it the largest single-game crowd in Parkview Field history.

This is the fifth season the TinCaps have been playing at Parkview Field.
