FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) The Fort Wayne TinCaps unveiled plans for a new center field party area on Wednesday.
The new area, called the 400 Club as it is exactly 400-feet from home plate, will be funded by the team and ownership group, no city funds will be used.
The 400 Club will accommodate 20 to 150 people. It can be used by groups or individuals. Groups of 100 or more can reserve it to use exclusively.
The TinCaps said the first center field batters eye party area in a minor league baseball stadium will features an outdoor patio and retractable garage-style doors.
Food will be available at the 400 Club 30 minutes before the first pitch until the end of the fifth inning, at which point the dessert bar will be served.
Construction will begin soon on the 400 Club and is expected to be completed in mid-May 2013.
Opening night for the 2013 season will be April 11.
