FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The Jennings Center in Fort Wayne kicked off the holiday season on Sunday night. It was the 60th annual Wassail Celebration. It's a way to get people together and continue the mission of the organization. The Jennings Center's mission is to provide activities for people of all ages.
"We have children participating too. They're kind of what makes all of this happen. And this is why the center is here, for not only children, but also for adults," said Anita Dortch of the Jennings Center.
Mayor Tom Henry also joined in on the festivities.
The Wassail Celebration ended with everyone singing the Wassail Song. The celebration happens every year on the first Sunday of December.
