FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The Fort Wayne Fire Department will be doing a live demonstration in their Survive Alive House on how to escape from a burning home as a part of National Fire Prevention Week.
On Thursday, Oct. 11 at 2:30 p.m., FWFD will be having an open house where they will be doing a live simulation to show residents how to "Have Two Ways Out!"
The Survive Alive House is a full-size two-story structure that is set up in a mock town called, "Safety Village."
The home has special effects to simulate a real house fire including:
