Sun King beers come to Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Sun King Brewery , an Indianapolis-based brewery, held an event at Calhoun Street Soups, Salads, and Spirits on Wednesday to showcase the brews now available at the local bar and sandwich shop.

Eric Fear, a sales manager for Sun King, said the company gets everything they can to make the beer from Indiana, including the beer cans.

Sun King Brewery features three house beers that are available all year, as well as several seasonal and special brews. The three house beers are:

• Osiris Pale Ale: An assertively hopped west coast style pale ale. Every aspect of this beer is designed to showcase the hops without overpowering your taste buds.
• Wee Mac: This Scottish Style Brown has a nice hazelnut character with rich toffee undertones. Gold Medal, 2010 Indiana Brewers' Cup, English Brown Ale.
• Sunlight Cream Ale: Our most approachable beer, Sunlight has a smooth malt profile and a crisp, clean finish. Silver Medal, 2010 World Beer Cup, Golden or Blonde Ale

Sun King beers are available at Fort Wayne area liquor stores, including S&V Liquors, and a few restaurants. The beer will also be available at Parkview Field.
