"Stuff a Bus" to help two Fort Wayne charities

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The 17th Annual Stuff A Bus Radiothon, hosted by Fun 101.7, will be helping two Fort Wayne charities this year.

The event will be collecting nonperishable food items to donate to the Associated Churches Food Bank of Fort Wayne and Allen County . Fun 101.7 will also be collecting medicine cabinet items for the Franciscan Center.

From Monday, November 19 to Wednesday, November 21, from 5:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., people can donate items at four different locations:

  • East at Georgetown Square
  • West at Fantastic Sam’s in Chestnut Plaza at Scott & Illinois Roads
  • North at Travel Leaders and Rustic Hutch on Coldwater at Dupont
  • South at Midwest America Federal Credit Union on Bluffton Road in Waynedale

Fun 101.7 WLDE personalities will broadcast from the broadcast center at Georgetown Square each day.

Nonperishable food items that are in high demand:

  • Peanut butter
  • Macaroni and cheese
  • Canned items
  • Granola bars
  • Cereal

Medicine cabinet items that are in high demand:

  • Laundry detergent
  • Shampoo
  • Household cleaners
  • Over the counter cold medicines
  • Body soap
  • Tooth paste
  • First aid supplies
