The Black Friday crowd, lines, and chaos isn't some people's idea of a good time. However, those people might fare better with Cyber Monday.
Cyber Monday is the largest online shopping day of the year, and the next big day for retailers after Black Friday. More than 70 million Americans participate in Cyber Monday, and it brings in over $1 billion in revenue.
"I've already tried to look at the ads, and see what I could find, probably electronics, is what I'd be shopping for," online shopper, Beverly Cook said.
For some people who live in small towns without access to large retail facilities, Cyber Monday is an easier alternative.
"I can't come every weekend an hour and half away to shop, so it's really easy, and it's very convenient to have a UPS man knock at your door and deliver the package," online shopper, Cathy Timmerman said.
Although you can shop from the comfort of your couch or on your smart phone, there are some downfalls.
"You know last year when I did try to get some things, I put it in my basket and when I went to check out it was gone," said Cook.
However, Cook said she learned her lesson and this year she will be doing things differently.
"I guess if you really want it, hurry up and check out and then keep shopping," Cook said.
The fairly new retail day has been around since 2005, but it is growing in popularity.
"I think it's the thing to do," online shopper, Josh Fierstos said. "Cyber Monday, you have to go and get in front of your computer."
Most online retailers will be offering free shipping Monday, no strings attached.
However, if you are planning on browsing and shopping online make sure the website you are buying from is secure, pay with a credit card instead of debit, and if you are using your smartphone or tablet, make sure you don't use a public wi-fi connection.
