Search warrant served at Matt Lindsay's home; police remove evidence

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) The Allen County Sheriff's Department and Allen County Prosecutor's office served a search warrant at the home of Matt Lindsay and his wife on Wednesday.

NewsChannel 15 was told the Lindsay's were home during the warrant. Officials were on the scene for an hour and a half on Wednesday executing the warrant.

Officials took several brown bags from the home. Police would not comment on the contents of the bags.

It's important to note Lindsay has not been arrested or charged with anything at this time. The Sheriff's Department said a search warrant is standard procedure in an ongoing investigation. Nothing criminal has been found and the investigation is ongoing.

Matt Lindsay was placed on administrative leave on Thursday, September 13, after the Diocese found out about a large number of inappropriate video clips, none with nudity, on his computer, he was terminated on Sunday, September 16.

According to the Diocese of Fort Wayne - South Bend, they contacted the ACPD on Friday, Sept. 14 after business hours and left a message. The Diocese then had a face-to-face meeting with Allen County personnel on Tuesday, Sept. 18. Allen County officials began an investigation into the inappropriate videos on Tuesday, Sept. 18.
