Scott's on Anthony to be closed until further notice, pharmacy open

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Last Thursday, officials with Kroger issued a news release indicating the Scott’s grocery store located at 3105 N. Anthony Blvd. had been temporarily closed; Tuesday Kroger Central Division shared the letter it planned to mail to customers with NewsChannel 15.

The following is the letter to customers of the company’s Scott’s banner store on North Anthony in Fort Wayne:
Dear Valued Customer:

As you have heard, we discovered a structural problem at our Scott’s banner store on North Anthony Road in Fort Wayne during a routine inspection. A preliminary assessment indicates that repairs may be extensive. We won’t know the full extent of the work until we are able to fully assess the situation and agree to a safe and complete plan of action. The pharmacy, located in an adjacent building, will remain open. This includes the health and beauty, and liquor departments.
Kroger will continue to take care of our associates in the same way they work hard to take care of our customers. During the store closure, associates from the North Anthony location will be assigned to work in other Kroger and Scott’s stores in Fort Wayne. I know many of you are as concerned about the associates as you are the store. So are we. We look forward to serving you at any of our stores.
Sincerely,
Bob Moeder
