FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Science Central held their 13th Countdown to Noon on Monday for those families who may not be planning to stay up until midnight.

Attendees celebrated from 10 a.m. until noon on Monday

The event featured a variety of activities and science demonstrations for families and children which were focused on traditional New Year's Eve activities.

On hand during the festivities were Miss 3 Rivers Festival, Miss 3 Rivers Festival Teen, and the 3 Rivers Festival Tiara Princess.

Visitors were provided with a soda pop toast as the crowed counted down the seconds to noon with Science Central's Executive Director Martin S. Fisher.  Over 1,000 Lake City Bank balloons dropped down from the ceiling as the countdown hit noon.

Science Central, a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization, has provided a hands-on fun learning environment for over 17 years.  Through our 120+ exhibits, school tours, distance learning programs and weekend public events, we bring the excitement of science and technology to over 130,000 children and adults annually.
