FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Santa Claus was at Parkview Regional Medical Center on Monday afternoon to deliver gifts to children.

Preferred Auto employees raised money to buy children stuffed animals and books. The employees also dressed up as Santa and his helpers and visited kids throughout the Parkview Pediatrics Department.

The auto group collected so many donations that there will be extra items for Parkview to distribute to children throughout the year.

“These individuals have embraced the true meaning of the holiday season. Our patients and their families appreciate the kindness and generosity displayed by the Preferred Auto group and everyone else that donated materials this year," Colleen Banta, certified child life specialist, Parkview Women’s and Children’s Center, said.

The Preferred Auto group will visit the hospital four times this holiday season.
