FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The Allen County SPCA is teaming up with Fort Wayne area beauty salons to offer one free makeover a week, every week leading up to the animal shelter’s fall fundraiser, CatWalk.
People can nominate a deserving woman from northeast Indiana who would especially benefit from a day of pampering by going to the CatWalk website .
“We want to touch as many lives as possible: mothers, military wives, women needing assistance back into the workforce, women who do more for others than for themselves," Cheryl Livingston, shelter volunteer and owner of The Loft-Hair Skin Nails, said.
The salons will rotate winners weekly. Recipients will enjoy the following services:
“This is one of only two big fundraisers the Allen County SPCA hosts each year. We are so grateful to the Hair Department and The Loft-Hair Skin Nails for building excitement for our high fashion event by giving away these makeovers each week leading up to CatWalk," CatWalk director Jessica Henry said.
CatWalk will be held in the Grand Wayne Center on Saturday, November 9, 2013.
