Rockin' for Rescue benefit to raise money for area animal shelters

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The 4th Annual Rockin' for Rescue, a benefit to raise money for area animal shelters, will be held on Sunday, October 14 at Sweetwater Sound . The event will be held from 12:00 to 8:00 p.m.

The proceeds will go to the Whitley County Humane Society and Jay County Humane Society. Shelters will have adoptable pets available on site.

Rockin' for Rescue will feature Fort Wayne’s “The Band Brother” performing at 7:00 p.m. along with special guests:

  • 77 Times at 12:30 p.m.
  • Crossing at 1:45 p.m.
  • Sugar Shot at 3:00 p.m.
  • Allan & Ashcraft at 4:15 p.m.
  • Good Night Gracie at 5:45 p.m.

There will be lawn seating for the concert and food and drinks, including beer and wine, available all day.

There will also be Tiny Bubbles Bubble and Hula Hoop parties for the kids, face painting, balloon twisters, caricature artists, Southwest Fire District Engine 151 Fire Truck, a Silent Auction, Dippin' Dots, and vendors at the benefit.

Admission is $5 per person, kids 12 and under are free.

If you bring a 3 pound bag of dry pet food or 6 cans of pet food, you can get $1 off your admission.
