FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The Fort Wayne Rescue Mission received several donations following a story NewsChannel 15 did on how the bitter cold weather increases the needs of the shelter.

Donovan Coley, Senior Pastor of the Rescue Mission, said a father and son donated $1,500 and an unemployed person donated two cots for people to sleep on.

"We take zero money from the government so we really depend upon the public's contributions," Coley said.

Leaders at the Rescue Mission said they will use the donations for food and other services.
