AUBURN, Ind. (WANE) A 16-year-old missing from DeKalb County was found dead Tuesday afternoon in Muncie.

Auburn Police and the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department spent most of the day looking for Alexander Rodecap, who was last seen Monday around 10:30 p.m. He was believed to be armed and in danger of harming himself.

Police said Rodecap was found dead at a home in the 1200 block of W. Carson St. in Muncie around 4:00 p.m. Because it is an active investigation by the Muncie Police Department, no other information is being released at this time.

Police didn't believe Rodecap posed a threat to anyone else, but the DeKalb Central United School District put all of its schools on lockdown as a precaution. The order was lifted after the school said law enforcement gave the "all clear" at 1:30 p.m.
