FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The Early Childhood Alliance's third annual Plank-A-Palooza block building team competition and fundraiser was held on Saturday, October 13 at The Summit.
Plank-A-Palooza involved teams of up to four members that compete in creativity and planning skills. Teams had 30 minutes to design and build a structure. They were only able to use 500 KEVA planks, which are precision-cut maple blocks about ¼" x ¾" x 4½" in size. Only gravity held the plank structures together.
The event raised money for the Early Childhood Alliance to provide services that benefit young children in the Fort Wayne community.
