FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) -- Members from the Occupy Fort Wayne movement participated in a ‘Funeral for the Bill of Rights’ march through downtown Fort Wayne Friday afternoon.

It coincides with the National Day of Action event to protest the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act, which President Obama signed Dec. 31.

Members of Occupy Fort Wayne have said they’re against the provision in the law that allows the government to detain a U.S. citizen if he or she poses a terrorist threat.

The group marched from the Allen County Courthouse to the Federal Building at 1300 S. Harrison Street some wearing veils and carrying signs reading, “NDAA shreds Constitution”, “You are no longer safe from your own government (thanks to NDAA)” and “I am now a terrorist (according to my gov’t)” among others.
