Northeastern REMC asks customers to limit electric usage during peak hours

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Northeastern Rural Electric Membership Corporation sent out an email Monday asking customers to help keep power bills lower for everyone by limiting electric usage during the peak hours of 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Wednesday, or until temperatures subside.

Northeastern REMC also recommends that customers check on elderly friends and neighbors to make sure they are okay during the hot days.
 
Northeastern Rural Electric Membership Corporation is headquartered in Columbia City and provides power to more than 27, 000 households and businesses in portions of Allen, Huntington, Kosciusko, Noble, Wabash and Whitley counties in Northeastern Indiana.
