No injuries in fire on Winter Street

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a structure fire at the 4700 block of Winter Street on Monday around 9:20 a.m.

According to officials on the scene, the fire started in the back of the one-story home.

When crews arrived, they saw fire in the back corner that had extended to the attic. Firefighters brought the fire under control in less than 20 minutes.

The affected area of the house sustained heavy fire, water and smoke damage.

No one was home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries. The cause of the fire is undetermined
