HUNTINGTON COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - Officials in Huntington County broke ground Tuesday afternoon on a new winery that economic development professionals and founders describe as innovative.
Two EE's Winery will be located on U.S. 24 near County Road 675.
Eric Harris and Emily Hart are the co-founders of what they are calling "an innovative and unique winery."
They said they plan to introduce some new varieties to area wine connoisseurs.
"[We want to help people] realize that just because it says a certain grape name doesn't necessarily mean it's going to taste a certain way. And so exploring certain grapes and different styles of fruit and what those regions where that fruit is grown [have] to offer is really what we're trying to do," said co-founder Eric Harris.
Two EE's Winery is scheduled to open next spring.
