FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) The new Ronald McDonald House inside Parkview Regional Medical Center held their ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday.
The new, 9,000 square foot Ronald McDonald House has 11 guestrooms, a large kitchen, dining room, gathering room, computer center, laundry room, and a community room.
Several speakers from Parkview and Ronald McDonald spoke at the ribbon cutting as well as a past guest family. Mike Packnett, president and CEO, Parkview Health, Lisa Pacula, executive director, Ronald McDonald House, and Jackie Meara, senior manager field relations, Ronald McDonald House Charities were among the representatives at the ribbon cutting.
It took one year to raise the $2 million needed to build the Ronald McDonald House at Parkview.
