FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Nearly 300 Muslims in Fort Wayne attended the annual Eid Dinner Saturday, November 3. They were celebrating the end of the pilgrimage to Makkah.
Universal Education Foundation of Fort Wayne hosted the event. Besides a dinner, there was also entertainment by comedian Mo Amer from the documentary, “Allah Made Me Funny.”
“Our community is a hard working community. They’ve been working on this project for a long time, and it’s important that they get to sit down and enjoy a nice dinner and a nice fun activity for the kids,” said Tariq Akbar, President of Universal Education Foundation of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Universal Education Foundation is a nonprofit organization that educates both Muslims and non-Muslims in Fort Wayne.
