FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - A miniature donkey foal was born at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo on Friday morning.
The female foal was born strong and healthy, and is already beginning to stand, walk, and nurse.
The foal can be seen by zoo guests in the big red barn at the Indiana Family Farm exhibit. She is being housed with her mother, Naomi, and her grandmother, Esther.
The Fort Wayne Children's Zoo has exhibited miniature donkeys since 2001.
