FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Bishop Kevin Rhoades held Mass in Fort Wayne on Friday for the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary shootings.
The Mass was held on the the Feast Day of the Holy Innocents, which commemorates the children King Herod killed during the time of Jesus's birth.
Bishop Rhoades says it was a good time to come together and pray for the victims of the Newtown tragedy.
"We're called to bring the light of Christ, the love and the peace that Jesus brings," said Rhoades. "And I think what happened in Newtown is just a reminder that the mystery of evil is still present in the world and we have a responsibility as followers of Christ to fight evil and to overcome evil with good."
